Privacy Policy

SynastryCalc is a free astrology tool site. You can run every calculator without an account, without signing in, and without giving us your email address. This page describes the limited information the site does process.

Information you enter

To calculate a chart, the calculators need birth details for each person: a birth date, a birth time, and a birth place. You may also enter a name or label for each person so the chart is easier to read — nicknames work fine, and you can use any label you like.

These details are used only to generate your chart, aspects, house overlays, and interpretations. We do not use them for advertising, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Location searches

When you type a birth place, your search text is sent to a third-party place-name lookup service (Open-Meteo) to find matching cities and their coordinates and time zone. This request contains the place name you typed — not your name or birth date. Using a nearby smaller town that shares your time zone works just as well if you prefer not to search for your exact city.

Saved result pages and sharing

When you calculate a chart, the results are stored so the page has a shareable link, and so you can reload it later without re-entering everything. This means the birth data you entered is stored with that result.

• Result links expire automatically after 30 days, after which the stored data is deleted.
• Anyone who has the link can view the result page — treat the link as you would treat the birth data itself.
• Only share links with people whose birth data you are comfortable sharing, and remember the other person may not want their details circulated.

What we do not do

• No accounts and no logins — nothing to compromise there.
• No email address is required to run a chart, so we cannot email you unsolicited.
• No selling, renting, or trading of birth data or usage information.
• No advertising networks or cross-site ad tracking on the site.

How long we keep information

Saved results, including the birth data they contain, are kept for a maximum of 30 days from the moment the chart is calculated and are deleted automatically afterwards. Because the calculator works without accounts, we generally have no other way to associate charts with a specific person.

Your choices

• Use a nickname or initials instead of full names.
• Enter a nearby city instead of an exact address; time zone and coordinates are what the calculation needs.
• Ask the other person before calculating and sharing a chart that includes their birth data.
• If a result link with your data is circulating and you want it gone, email us and we will delete it — though most links simply expire within 30 days on their own.

Children's privacy

SynastryCalc is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect birth data from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to the site, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be described in plain language rather than buried.
